CASATO Infrastruttura Persone

Sales agent (m/w/d) · Germany · open search

A whole country. Not one agent.

Casato has never had an agent in Germany. Not one, not ever. You would not be taking over a territory — you would be opening it.

An Italian design house, and a market it has never touched.

What you would find in Germany

Nothing. And that is the offer.

This is not a territory someone else worked badly, and not a portfolio you inherit with its history attached. There is no agent, there are no accounts, there is no legacy. Whoever comes in writes the first page.

No one to share it with

No colleague who called on your shops last week, no zone to negotiate with anyone, no house account carved out before you arrive.

A brand with no label here

You are not re-presenting a name your buyer has already seen from ten suppliers at the last fair. In Germany, Casato is presented by you, first.

An Italian house, not a licence

Design, gemmological research and hand finishing in its own atelier — the segment of Pomellato, Pasquale Bruni, Crivelli, Mattioli. Not production farmed out to third parties.

What we are not going to tell you: that the brand is already established in your market. It is not. Building recognition in Germany is the job, and it is exactly why the territory is free.

Who you would work with

There is no sales director in between. The answer comes from the person who decides, and it comes the same day.

Your contact · Federico Gauttieri, founder and creative director

He draws the collections himself. Over more than thirty years he opened Casato's markets in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas one shop at a time, before he had a structure behind him: he has done the selling job in person, and it shows in the way he talks to people who sell.

In the first months he walks you through the product piece by piece — collections, stones, what makes a Casato different from what your buyer already has in the window. After that he stays your direct contact.

If you have spent the last years waiting for answers from a company that does not answer, that is the real difference here.

The product

It does not sell itself off a price list

Gold, diamonds, emeralds and enamels, drawn and finished in Casato's own atelier: around eighty people between Italy and Thailand. The dragonfly — the house's emblem — returns on every piece as a small precious detail.

Federico is a trained gemmologist. In your first months he takes you through the collections stone by stone, because at this level the client is not buying the price: they are buying what you can tell them.

The role

You would work with full operational autonomy — administration, logistics and product behind you, and no daily supervision.

  • Segment
High-end design: the world of Pomellato, Pasquale Bruni, Crivelli, Mattioli. Not volume selling — few pieces, high ticket, to specialist retailers
  • Territory
Germany. The area is defined around the accounts you already call on
  • Contract
Self-employed sales agent (Handelsvertreter) or employed — your choice
  • Commission
10% on sales, negotiable. As an indication and not a guarantee: sales of 300,000 to 600,000 EUR a year are worth 30,000–60,000 EUR in commission. With pieces starting at 1,500 EUR, that is twenty-five to thirty retailers ordering at the two launches
  • Seasonality
February–May and September–November are the two periods that decide the year
  • Experience
At least five years in jewellery or high-end product. The segment you sold in counts more than the years
  • You will fit if

    • You judge your own work on numbers: revenue, new doors opened, effective visits
    • Your buyers have followed you for years, and some ask to keep working with you when you change lines
    • When a buyer asks for terms outside policy you neither cave out of fear nor dig in out of pride
    • You plan: you know who to see in February and who to call in January
    • You keep the paperwork straight: orders complete, deadlines met, no one chasing you

    You will not fit if

    • You promise buyers terms that cannot be met and then hand the problem back to the company
    • You make few visits a month and open no new door in a year
    • You concede discounts and extended terms the moment the buyer pushes
    • You send incomplete orders and leave the office to chase the details
    • You have experience on paper, no documented results and vague references

    In plain terms

Four things you will not find here

  • Training from scratch
We are looking for a professional, not someone to build
  • A client list handed to you
You need to have your own
  • A brand that opens doors
In Germany Casato is unknown: the reputation here is built by you, and that is precisely why the territory is free
  • A guaranteed minimum
This is commission work — 10%, negotiable, earned on what sells
  • “If the person produces and works, they can earn a lot. I have agents getting close to 100k a year.”

    How it works

    From application to meeting Federico

    1. The formTwo minutes. Your details, then either a few lines about yourself or your CV: one of the two is enough.
    2. A few questionsFour minutes, multiple choice, right after you send: where you have worked and how you work.
    3. ReferencesTwo contacts you choose, and we tell you before we call them. Never the company you currently work with.
    4. Meeting FedericoOnline, or in person at the Milan showroom or at a fair.
    5. The offerTerms are agreed directly with him.

You get an answer either way, including a no. This search is deliberately selective: Casato would rather take on no one than take on the wrong person.

Two minutes, then we come back to you

Your details, then either a few lines about yourself or your CV: one of the two is enough. Two minutes.

    Almost there…

Your application has arrived. Four minutes left: a few questions about where you have worked, and five situations from this job.

This is the part that counts. A CV says where you have been; this says how you work, and it is what we read first.

    Done, thank you

We read your answers and come back to you either way, including a no. If the profile fits, we write to set up the first conversation: forty-five minutes on video.

Tell us who you areWhichever you prefer: write it below, or attach your CV. One of the two is enough.

Which brands you have carried and in which segment. Which accounts you call on today: what kind of shops, in which areas, roughly how many. And why Casato interests you.
Write the way you speak: this is not a cover letter, it is the facts.
